Four Strong Team Sponsored In 'Race For Life'
Torenia Technical Services have today sponsored the four strong team of Vicki, Rebecca, Siobhan and Heather. The team were among more than 6,000 women who signed up to take part in the Southsea Common event. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK who organise 162 Race For Life events each year, making it the worlds largest women only fundraising event.
All the money raised will help fund the life-saving research of Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research.

As with all forms of exercise it is advisable to 'warm up'. The Race organisers have this well under way, as over 6,000 women warm up before the race starts. |

The Race is started in two stages with the 'Runners' off first. The 'Walkers' are set off a little while later. The organisers want as many women to enter the race as possible and therefore cater for all, as not everyone wishes to run the 5Km course. |
About 4.5Km in, 0.5Km to go.

About 4.5Km into the race and the Team is doing great. Everybody still has a smile on their face and are obviously enjoying the brisk walk along Southsea Promenade.

Finally across the finish line, collecting there Competitors Medals and Goodie bags along the way, the Team stop for one final photograph.
